It’s time to ground in deep, and step the fuck up.
It’s time to become the Leader you’ve been waiting for.
It’s time to take up space with the revolutionary voice you’ve been holding back.
It’s time to stop waiting for someone else’s permission, someone else’s approval, someone else’s ideas, someone else to tell you, “go”.
No one is coming.
It’s YOUR time now.
If not now, when?
Truly, what else are you waiting for?
The only kind of leadership we’re modelled inside of colonial capitalist patriarchy is the kind that controls, dominates, conquers.
Think the Tyrant, the Dictator, the Patriarch.
Because of this false modelling, we shy away from our own innate capacity to LEAD.
We refuse to be that kind of leader, and we’re never shown another way.
We assume, someone else must be better at it than me. I could never lead. I could never take up space like that.
But, what if you could be the kind of leader that stewards?
The kind that honours the interconnectedness of all of us, and the vastness and the glorious diversity of our movement?
The kind that lovingly and ferociously calls in community?
The kind that has their hands and feet in the dirt, their arms open, their heart open?
What if you, right now, precisely as you are, are exactly the Leader you’ve been waiting for?
We need you to remember that YOU are the authority you need to give you permission.
YOU are the courage and the grit you’re waiting for.
YOU are the one who will galvinise, mobilise, hold, and celebrate others.
The time of dictators and tyrants is over.
We need you to remember that YOU are here to steward us towards our collective liberation.
